This endenture witnesseth this to be my last will and testament which is as follows
first I give to my son Samuel Applegate the lot known by the number 108 together with any wearing apparel.
To my son Hezekiah Applegate His lot known by the number 110
to Benjamin Applegate the lot known by the number 50
to Tunis Applegate the lot known by the number 63 to Elijah Applegate the lot known by the numbers 65 & 70
and all my movable property to be sold and equally divided between Benjamin Applegate Tunis Applegate Elizabeth Baldwin Joanna M Grew and Elijah Applegate
and for my place whence I now live I give it to my son Elisha Applegate after paying Benjamin Tunis and Elijah fifty dollars each in trade within three years after my decease then the said place to be the said Elisha Applegate his heirs and assigns ever
and I appoint my son Benjamin and Elisha to execute my will ratifying this and no other to be my last will and testament In witness whereof I have set my hand and put my seal

At a County Court held for Jefferson County at the Court House in Louisville on the 8th day of August 1808 The earlier instrument of writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Thomas Applefate was produced in court and proved by the oath of Peter Miller and Hiram Malott and ordered to be recorded.
