In the name of God, Amen, I William Applegate of the township of Windsor County of Middlesex & State of New Jersey Being week and sick but of perfect mind & memory and being desirous of letting my worldly affairs do make & ordain this to be my last will & testament

In the first place I commend my soul to God & my body to be decently buried by my executors herein after named

It is my will that my lawful debts be paid by my executors out of my estate

Item it is my will my Dear and Loving wife to have twelve acres of land during her natural life to be taken from my plantation. Beginning at the corner of John Thompson’s lot thence running along my northerly line about 7 1/2 chains thence to the road leading to Hightstown from Trenton on a parallel line with sd. Thompson line thence along the road to ye S.W. corner of sd. Thompson’s lot including twelve acres; after her death to belong to my son Abner if he dies without lawful issue then to belong to my sons David and William; that my Exe assist in building her a house at the expense of my estate to be built of Logs of sixteen by eighteen square that she have one cow and two sheep Heifer and all my Household goods; that my son Abner to have my year old Heifer; remainder of my land be equally divided between my sons David & William.

If my son Daniel ever return home that he have twenty acres of land to be taken equally off of David and Williams land.

It is my will that a deed of gift I formerly gave Daniel Bisse be null & void.

I do appoint my son David and my trusty friend Jonathan Combs executors of this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereby set my hand and seal this the twenty third day of November one thousand seven hundred & eighty.
