In the name of God Amen, I Ebenezer Applegate of the township of Upper Freehold in the County of Monmouth and Province of New Jersey yeoman Being still in health of perfect mind and Dispossessing memory thanks be to God for the same Calling to mind the uncertainty of this life and knowing that all men must once dye Do make this my last will and testament in the manner following

First and Principally I Recommend my Soul to God that gave it and my body to the earth to be buried in a Decent and Christian mannor by my Executor hereafter appointed and as to my worldly estate with which I am blessed I will and Disposse of it in the following manner

First I order all my Funeral expenses and just debts to be paid as soon after my decease as conveniently they may be by my executors and I will and order my executors to sell and convey my plantation wherein I now dwell and all and singular my possessions or moveable estate as soon as they conveniently can after my decease to enable them to pay my debts

secondly I will and give my son Ebenezer forty pounds more than an equal share with the rest of my Legetees

Thirdly I will and give the Remainder and money to my Beloved wife Mary and to all my children share and share alike to be equally divided among them namely Sarah Francis Rebecca Coward Obadiah Moribah Ebenezer Parthania Mary Lucia and Margaret to be paid them as they respectively arrive at age by my executors

Also my will is that my beloved wife have her part paid her as soon as conveniently may be after my estate is sold and Sarah Robinson and Obadiah shares to be retained from them and at and only to be paid to them as their needs may require at the discression of my executors

my will also is that either of them may have their share or the part that is left to their children

my will and intent further is that my eldest son Obadiah have no claim or demand to any other part of my estate than the share above given him in the manner aforsd

and I hereby appoint make and constitute my son Ebenezer and good friend Amos Middleton the executors of this my last will and testament

I have here unto sett my hand and seal the eighth day of March One Thousand Seven hundred Seventy Two.

Signed sealed published and declared as the testors last will and testament in the presence of Richard Hubert.
