Know all men by these Presents that I Beulah H. Applegate of Springfield Township in the County of Burlington and State of New Jersey, being in ill health - but of sound and disposing mind and memory and desirous of directing how my estate with which it has pleased God to bless me shall be disposed of after my decease while I have strength and capacity so to do, do make and publish this my last will and testament.

First I hereby constitute and appoint my husband Wardell C. Applegate to be my executor of this my last will.

Item I give and bequeath to husband Wardell C. Applegate the remaining unpaid portion of a mortgage which I hold against my Brother's (Japhet B. Decan) farm the amount of which is one thousand dollars together with the associated interest which may be due at the time he may collect it with the distinct understanding however that he my said husband and executor is to pay out of this said mortgage to my son Robert H. D. Applegate the sum of thirty dollars when he shall have attained to the age of eighteen years. And to my mother Sarah B. Deacon twenty five dollars as soon after my decease as practicable. To pay to my sister Mary L. Potts fifty dollars these last two bequests to mother and sister to be paid in about two weeks after my decease.

Item I give and bequeath unto my three children Henry C. Applegate, Robert H.D. Applegate daughter Sarah Ellen Applegate my share of my mother's third of my father's estate to be equally divided among them to share and share alike. In consideration of the property (money, etc) given by me to my daughter Lizzie D. Gaskill at the time of her marriage is the reason she is not included in with my other three children in my last bequest.

Item I give and bequeath to my daughter Sarah Ellen Applegate my gold watch and chain and my best walnut set of furniture.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twentieth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty five.
