In the name of God, Amen. I John Applegate of the city of Brighton, County of Cumberland and State of New Jersey, being of sound and disposing mind, do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner following, that is to say:

First. I do order all of my just debts and funeral expenses paid as soon as conveniently can be after my decease.

Item. I do give, devise and bequeath unto my beloved wife, Julia Ann Applegate all of my estate real and personal, wherever the same may be situate, and of whatsoever kind or description.

Lastly, I do hereby appoint my beloved wife Julia Ann, the executor of this my last will and testament.

In witness whereof I have hereunton set my hand and seal this second day of May eighteen hundred and seventy seven.
