In the name of God Amen: I Maria Applegate of the village of Cranbury, County of Middlesex and state of New Jersey, being of sound and disposing mind and memory do make publish and declare this my last will and testament as follows:
First I do order and direct my executor hereinafter named to pay all my just debts and funeral expenses as soon as convenient after my decease
Second- I give and bequeath to my son, Curtis Applegate one thousand dollars to my grandson Clifford B. Applegate John Rudings Note for six hundred dollars now held by me.
Third I give and bequeath to my grandson LeRoy Browne son of David C. Browne deceased the sum of six hundred dollars to be paid him by my executors as soon as convenient after my decease.
Fourth I give and bequeath to my granddaughter Gracie Applegate my three trunks and two valises
Fifth I give and bequeath all the rest and residue of my estate of whatsoever kind and wheresoever found to be equally divided share and share alike among my four grandchildren, Clifford B. Applegate, Clarence Applegate, LeRoy Browne and Gracie Applegate.
I hereby constitute and appoint my son Curtis Applegate to be the executor of this my last will and testament
In witness whereof I hereto set my hand and seal this twenty-second day of June in the year of our Lord One Thousand and Eight hundred and ninety nine
