In the name of God Amen.
I Caroline Applegate of Monongahela City Pa. being of sound mind and memory and knowing the uncertainty of human life do hereby make and publish this my last will and testament in manner & form as follows to wit.
First I direct that my body be buried in a christian manner.
2nd, I direct that all my Just debts be paid
-- I direct my executor to pay to Mrs. Ella Scott two hundred & fifty dollars in money & To have one Bureau & wash stand and one fether [sic] bed. Mrs. Ella Scott to select her bureau, wash stand and fether [sic] bed. Mrs. Caroline Roush 1st to have one fether [sic] bed.
I direct that the residue of my personal property to be sold & the property divided equally among Walter Applegate, Mrs. Ella Scott, Mrs. Caroline Roush and George Linn Applegate.
I direct that if my real estate is sold by my executor that the money be equally divided among my children, George Linn Applegate & at his death to his children & if he have no children then to Walter Applegate, & the same way with the share of Mrs. Ella Scott & Mrs. Caroline Roush. Walter Applegate is to have his equal share of the money, also to have the right to take the real estate at the appraisement if he wants it & to pay the other heirs their shares if Walter Applegate my son takes the real estate at the appraisement & pays the other heirs their equal shares, then the real estate shallbe his to have & to have & to dispose of at his pleasure.
Lastly I hereby appoint my son Walter Applegate to be the executor of this my last will and testament as witness my hand & seal this 29th day of July A. D. 1907
