In the name of God, Amen.


I Walter Applegate of Monongahela City, County of Washington, State of Pennsylvania, considering the certainty of death, Do make and publish this as and for my last will and testament, revoking and making void all former wills be me at any time heretofore made, as follows.


Item 1st - I direct that my body be decently interred.


Item 2nd - I direct that my Just debts and funeral expences be paid out of my estate by my executor hereinafter named as soon as convenient after my decease.


Item 3rd - I give and bequeath to my wife Caroline Applegate my house and lot situate in the First ward of the City of Monongahela, County of Washington and State of Pennsylvania, during her natural lifetime.  And after her death I direct that the said house and lot shall go to my three youngest children, Namely as follows:  to my Son Walter Applegate and to my son A. W. Linn Applegate and to my Daughter Caroline Applegate share and share alike.


Item 4th - I also give and bequeath to my wife Caroline Applegate all the money that I may be entitled to out of my Father David Applegate's Estate and after my wife's decease any money that may be left is to go to my three children hearing [sic] before named share and share alike.


Item 5th - I give and bequeath to each of my sons herein before named four hives of bees each, to be delivered to each of them within a few days after my decease by my Executor herein after named, and I hereby devise order and direct my Executor to accept the receipt or receipts of my Sons on the delivery of the said hives of bees to them and that the Register of Wills shall accept their receipt or receipts as sufficient vouchers on settlement of the accounts with my Executor.


Item 6th - I hereby nominate, constitute and appoint [blank] Executor of this my last will and testament.


In witness whereof I Walter Applegate the testator have to this my last will and testament set my hand and affixed my seal this [blank] day of April AD 1891.

Signed Sealed, published and declared by the above named testator as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us, who have hereunto subscribed our names at his request as witnesses thereto, in the presence of the said testator and in the presence of each other
