Will of Asa Applegate
Middlesex County (NJ) Will Book 29, pp. 464-465
In the name of God, Amen. I, Asa Applegate of the Township of Monroe, in the County of Middlesex and the State of New Jersey, being of sound and disposing mind and memory, do make and publish this my las Will and Testament, as follows:
First- It is my Will and I do order that all my just debts and funeral expenses to be paid as soon as conveniently can be done after my decease.
Second- I give, bequeath and devise the Farm where I now reside, in the Township of Monroe, County of Middlesex and State of New Jersey, to my sister Margaret Ann Reid, to be used and enjoyed by her during the term of her natural life, and from and immediately after her death, I give, bequeath and devise the same to my neice [sic], Mary Gertrude Burrows, her heirs and assigns forever.
Third- I give, bequeath and devise all the rest, residue and remainder of my Estate, real, personal or mixed, which shall belong to or be owned by me at the time of my death, to my said neice, [sic] Mary Gertrude Burrows, to her, her heirs and assigns forever.
Fourth- I hereby constitute and appoint my said sister, Margaret Ann Reid, and my said neice, [sic] Mary Gertrude Burrows, Executrixs [sic] of this my last Will and Testament.
In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal this Fourteenth day of February, in the year of our Lord, Nineteen Hundred and Two.

Signed, sealed, published and declared by the said Asa Applegate to be his last Will and Testament, in the presence of us, (both being present at the same time) who, at his request, in his presence, and in the presence of each other, have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.
