New Jersey Wills, 34:26 27

In the Name of God Amen I John Applegate being sick & weak but of perfect mind & memory Thanks be given unto God Calling unto mind the mortality of my body and knowing it is appointed for all men once to die do make & ordain this my Last Will & Testament

This is to say, principally & first of all I give & recommend my soul unto the hand of Almighty God that gave it and my body I recommend to the earth to be buried in a decent Christian burial at the discretion of my executors nothing doubting but that at the general resurrection I shall receive the same again by the mighty power of God and as touching such worldly goods Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me in this life, I give devise & dispose of the same in the following manner of form

First I give & bequeath to Mary my dearly beloved wife the one third part of my Estate household goods & moveable effects

Also I give to my two sons John & Benjamin all my land to be equally divided between them but Benjamin is to have the use of the whole as long as my wife Mary lives, likewise Benjamin is to have the Wagon and a pair of horses A young mare & horse that is commonly used with the wagon and to have an equal share of all the moveables

Also I give to my Daughter Sarah the fit of Curtains about the bed I lie on.

Also I give all the debt that is due to me by Bond etc to be equally divided among my children And the rest of the Moveables

I constitute & ordain Orrey Longstreet Senr & Samuel Grove sole Executors of this my last Will & Testament & I do hereby utterly disallow revoke & disannull all & every other Testament wills Legacies and bequests & Executors by me in any ways before named Willed and bequeathed, Ratifying & confirming this & no other to be my last will & testament

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand & Seal this nineteenth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven Hundred & Eighty two
