In the name of God, amen, I Abijah A. Applegate of the township of Clark in the County of Union and State of New Jersey, being of sound mind memory and understanding, do make publish and declare my last will and testament in manner following, that is to say:

First I order and direct all my just debts and funeral and testamentary expenses to be paid and satisfied as soon as conveniently can be after my decease.

Second After payment of my just debts and funeral and testamentary expenses I give devise and bequeath all my estate, real and personal of whatsoever name and nature and wheresoever situate, which I may own or be entitled to, at the time of my death to my brother John W. Applegate, to him and his heirs and assigns forever.

Lastly I hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said brother John W. Applegate, sole executor, without security of this my last will and testament giving my said executor full power and authority to sell and convey any and all of my real estate and to give good and valid conveyances in law thereof.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this eighth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty nine.
