In the name of God, Amen. I John D. Applegate of the Township of Dover in the County of Ocean and State of New Jersey, being of sound mind, memory and understanding make and publish this my last will and testament in manner following, that is to say
First It is my will and I do order that all my just debts and funeral expenses be duly paid and satisfied as soon as conveniently can be after my decease
Item I give and bequeath to my son Ivins O. my two horses, wagon and harness
Item I give to my beloved wife the use of all the residue of my personal property and the use of all my lands and real estate during her natural life
Item I give and devise to my son Ivins O. Applegate after the decease of his mother, all my lands and real estate together with all my personal property which may remain at the death of his mother subject to the payments by him of the following legacies to my other children hereinafter named viz: To Moses G. Applegate one hundred dollars To Aaron Applegate one hundred dollars To Mary E. Ivins one hundred dollars To Margaret Hyers one hundred dollars To Joseph G. Applegate one hundred dollars to be paid to them and each of them within a reasonable time after the decease of my said wife Mary.
It being my intention to vest the fee of my lands and real estate in my son Ivins O. and his heirs from and after my decease.
Lastly I hereby appoint my trusty friend William J. James executor of this my last will and Testament.
