In the name of God Amen. I Moses Applegit of the Township of Roxbury in the County of Morris & State of New Jersey being of sound mind memory & understanding (for which blessing I do thank God) do make & publish this my last will & testament in manner following that is to say

First it is my will and I do order all my just debts & funeral expenses to be paid as soon as can be after my decease

Second I having given already to my beloved son Jacob Applegit his just & full share of my estate I do give & bequeath unto him the further sum of one dollar

Third I having given already to my beloved son Richard Applegit his just & full share of my estate I do give him the further sum of one dollar

Fourth I having given to my beloved son Henry his just and full share of my estate I do give him the further sum of one dollar

Fifth I do hereby give & bequeath unto my Daughter Caroline Wife of William Smith the sum of one dollar in full of her share of my estate & to her children twenty five dollars each.

Sixth I do give & bequeath unto my executors herein after named in trust for the heirs of my deceased daughter Betsey Pool late wife of Jerimiah Pool the sum of one dollar to each of them to be in lieu of and in full satisfaction of their mothers share to be paid to them as they respectively arrive at the age of twenty one

Seventh I do give & bequeath unto my executors hereinafter named the sum of one hundred dollars in trust for Mary M. Williams daughter of my deceased daughter Matilda late wife of Daniel V. Villguss to be paid to her when she arrives at the age of twenty one

Eighth I do give and bequeath unto my executors herein after named in trust for heir of Margarit Bilby one hundred dollars in full of the share of the said Margarit Bilby to be paid to the said heir upon the death of her mother who may enjoy the interest during her life time

Ninth The remainder and residue of my estate I do order to be equally divided between my beloved children Mary Ann wife of John Mawbocken and Moses N. Applegit and Francis E. Applegit and Ellen Applegit share & share alike
Lastly I do hereby appoint my trusty & esteemed friend Calib H. Valentine and my beloved son Moses N. Applegit executors of this my last will & testament

In testimoney where of I have hereunto set my hand and seal this fifth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & sixty five

Signed sealed published and declared as his last will & testament by the testator in our presence at the same time and we at his request & in his presence have here to set our hands
