Billy James Applegate, 47, passed away October 18, 2008 in Austin, TX after a short battle with colon cancer. He was born January 7, 1961 in Ada, OK. He was the son of Illa Pauline and Dan Andrew Baldwin of Anson, TX. He was a songwriter, musician, chainsaw artist, and carpenter. Billy grew up in Anson, TX, graduating from Anson High School in 1979. He attended San Angelo State on a track scholarship and received a bachelor's degree in history from Texas Tech. His love of music took him to South Plains College to pursue his music career. He also worked on a master's degree from Texas Tech and later Middle Tennessee State. Billy was preceded in death by friend, Wayne Carlson of Anson, uncles, Larry Thompson and Leon Baldwin of Anson, grandparents, Al and Goldie Thompson of Atwood, OK and David and Ome Baldwin of Anson. He is survived by parents Pauline and Dan Baldwin of Anson, sister Brenda Cosby of Hawley, brothers Danny Paul Applegate of San Angelo, Marshall Reynolds of South Carolina, David Reynolds of LaVonne, and Kevin Baldwin of Anson, children Rustin Wayne Luther of Dallas, Brent Alan Applegate of Rogers, AR, Michael Paul Applegate of Rogers, AR, and Jamie Lynn Applegate of McKinney, grandson Ayden Wayne Luther of Dallas, and a long list of extended family and friends. KENNEDALE - Louis R. Applegate, a retired Kaiser Steel Co. employee, died Monday at his Kennedale home. He was 73.
Funeral will be at 3 p.m. today at First Bible Baptist Church in Kennedale, where he was a member. Burial will be in Emerald Hills Memorial Park in Kennedale.
Emerald Hills Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Applegate was born in Hawkins, Wood County, in Northeast Texas. He was a heavy-equipment operator for Kaiser Steel for many years in Buffalo, N.Y., and in California.
He had been retired about 15 years and had lived in Kennedale about eight years.
Mr. Applegate was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 75, Independent Order of Odd Fellows Lodge 925, and the Silverleaf Rebekah Lodge.
Survivors: Wife, Ida G. Applegate of Kennedale; daughter, Georganne Richardson of Jasper; two sisters, Mary Etta Flannagan of Lake of the Pines and Reda Gaye Rains of Dallas; and two grandsons. | Applegate, Louis R (I43155)

Elizabeth "Liz" Wagner, 80, went to be with her loved ones, on June 24, 2012 at Sunshine Meadow Retirement Community, Buhler, Kansas.
She was born July 28, 1931 in Augusta, KS, the daughter of Lenza L. and Leota Florence Sharpton Applegate.
She graduated from Haven High School in 1949, was a member of the V.F.W. Women's Auxiliary, Russell, KS and Emanuel Lutheran Church, Hutchinson. She retired from Dillon Living Center as a C.M.A.
On April 7, 1951 she married Lyle LeeVern Wagner in Russell. He died February 17, 1993.
Survivors include; five children, Sharon Hathaway, Nickerson, Teresa Sams, Sterling, Rita Prieb and husband Conrad, Buhler, Lyle Wagner, Jr., and Leota Wagner and fiancé Victor Randel, both of Hutchinson; siblings, Bea Smith, Ft. Worth, TX, Marvin Applegate and wife Mona, Wichita, Lee Oller, Liberty, MO, and Ches Applegate, Ft. Worth, TX; four grandchildren, Walter "Jed" Hathaway and wife Heather, Nolanville, TX, Sarah Hathaway, Nickerson, Stephanie Unruh and husband David, Inman, and Rosalie Prieb, Buhler.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, L. Lon Applegate.
Funeral Service will be 10:00 A.M., Thursday, June 28, 2012 at Penwell Gabel Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Phil Vickers presiding. Burial will be in Penwell Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.

She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Kari Rough of Tustin, California, Taylor Green of College Station, Texas, Cameron McCoy of Bossier City, Louisiana, Codey Applegate of Fort Worth, Texas, Jamie Green of Longview, Texas, Casey Applegate of Fort Worth, Texas, Trevor McCoy of Bossier City, Louisiana and Andi Winn of Flower Mound, Texas. She was preceded in death by her
parents, Roy and Floy Baley and son, Shane Applegate. Lana was retired from American Porcelain and Enamel Company. She was on the Board of Directors of the Mount Pleasant Lions Club, was a life member of the Lions Club Camp in Kerrville, Texas, was a member of the Friends of Christ Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church in Mount Pleasant, and was an active leader in the Sharon Shrine Mustang Patrol. Lana was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Mary Louise Applegate, the daughter of Hanley and Ruby (Pratt) Patterson, was born on April 14, 1929 in Peru, Nebraska. She passed away on March 5, 2014 at the Superior Good Samaritan Society in Superior, Nebraska at the age of 84 years, 10 months, 19 days.
Mary was one of six children; she attended public school in Peru graduating from Peru High School. She was a lifelong member of the Christian Church. She was united in marriage to Robert Edward Applegate on May 1, 1950 in Auburn, Nebraska and to this union three children were born.
She lived in the communities of Peru and Gandy. She moved to Superior, Nebraska in 1957. Mary was a member of the Bakers Dozen Extension Club, Brodstone Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, and she was a volunteer at the Nifty Thrifty.
She crocheted numerous afghans for her children, grandchildren, neighbors, friends, and dogs. She also crocheted over 300 names for family and friends. She enjoyed making beaded jewelry and baking and was well known for her noodles and rolls. She liked to read recipe and mystery books, and collected china shoes and thimbles. Mary always made birthdays special for each family member with a decorated birthday cake.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bob on February 6, 2004; three brothers, Harold, Carl and Harry Patterson and two sisters, Leota Morris and Lucile Hunzeker.
Mary is survived by her children Peggy Aldrup and husband Tim of Hardy, Nebraska, Robert Applegate II and wife Dorthy of Lincoln, Nebraska and Jerry Applegate and wife Diane of Kearney, Nebraska; five grandchildren: Ben, Charlie and Mike Applegate and Amanda and Adrienne Applegate; brother-in-law Sidney Applegate and wife Sara of Glenrock, Wyoming and sister-in-law Janie Henning and husband Charles of Peru, Nebraska; brother-in-law Fred Gfeller of Peru, Nebraska; nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
