Joseph Applegate, born Feb. 8, 1793; died Oct. 7, 1855. He served in the war of 1812 for 6 months, enlisting in Capt. Robert Conover's Co., New Jersey Militia on July 13, 1813. He married in Monmouth Co., NJ on Nov. 8, 1818 with William Anderson, officiating, to Elizabeth Clayton, born Dec. 9, 1792; died Jan. 3, 1869. They moved to Shelby Co., Green Twp., Ohio in 1837 and purchased a farm. Children:
