  Notes	Who is Nathaniel Kerr? "Internet consensus" (for which I can find no direct evidence) is that Nathaniel Kerr is the son of Walter William (or William Walter) Kerr/Carr who married Susannah Applegate (current Vorress No. 5A3A9) on 12 Nov 1812, probably in Allegheny Co., PA (Joseph Beckett, J.P. Marriage List 1792-1815, reproduced from The Elizabeth Herald, 1888, reprinted at <http://files.usgwarchives.net/pa/allegheny/vitals/eliztwpmar1792-1815.txt>. If this is a reliable record of her marriage, then she was born no later than about 1795. This date in the early 1790 fits in nicely with the gap in the known dates of birth for the children of Robert between Joseph b. 1790 and Rebeca b. 1804. Walter Kerr was enumerated in the 1850 Census in East Finley Township. Washington Co., PA. East Finley Twp. is directly north of Richhill Twp., Green Co., so while they are in different counties, they are very close together. In the Census Walter Kerr is 68, a farmer, and born in PA; Watson is 22, a laborer, and born in PA; Barbary (Barbara) is 16, and born in PA; Isaiah is 14, and born in PA; and Walter is 12, and born in PA. [1850 US Census, PA, Washington Co., East Finley Twp., 111/111]. There is no sign of any adult females in the household. That and the age of the youngest child Walter, indicates Walter Sr.'s wife had died between 1840 and 1850. Walter does not seem to have moved by by 1860. He was enumerated in East Finley Twp., Washington Co., PA as Walter "Carr". He was 78, a farmer, born in NJ. Isaah [sic] was 23, born in PA; Barbara was 26, born in PA; Charles was 16, born in PA; and Watson was 31, born in PA.
